Update your software, or reset it to factory specs, these can be done through your radio settings, this worked for me with a 2024 kicks, USBs stopped working two weeks after I drove it off the lot.

Which software needs updating? My 2 week old 2024 has done the same thing twice now. The head unit says no over the air updates are available/pending.

Force reboot the head unit (hold down radio power button for about 5 seconds) does fix the issue.

the dealer forces a update via usb stick not over the air updates and if it still persits a replacement of the infotainment head unit and program is in order

I am having this USB issue again. Do you have more information about this software update from the dealer; a software version number or technical service bulletin that I can refer my dealership to look up.

Everyone knows the service technician will dismiss this as cannot duplicate issue or tell me to get a new cable. A TSB or other information would be helpful.

Hi all!

I have a '23 SR that's not even to 1000 miles yet. All of a sudden both USB ports in front have stopped working. They don't register that a cord is plugged in at all. I've tried both ports with different cords. I thought maybe a blown fuse but the lights around the ports are still on so I dunno. Any ideas?

Hello i have a 23 kicks with the same issue. I was able to get the shop to see it they replaced my ports. But not even 2 weeks later I'm having the same problem. So will be taking it back to them again. Thinking it's a wiring issue.

I have a 23 kicks sr and have had the same problems for 2 yrs now. They even replaced my whole stereo system and I still have the issue. Which is a bummer when you wanna use your google play.

Seeing the issue since this morning. Neither the USB or USBC were working. Car was off all day while at work. This afternoon, still the same issue. Held power button to reset. Radio reset, still having a problem. looked at all the fuses, all look good. Anyone find the issue?

same problem Neither USB works (C nor A) The USB ports in the back do work. I use the front for CarPlay Could this be a software update issue?

no could be connection issue if you use the ports alot they have a finite ammount of plugging them in and out you can buy the ports online ebay etc and install them yourself.. if not then its your cable get or use the factory cable that came with your cell phone... if not then its the radio and if its the radio then you can go to the dealer and refresh the firmware if not then its the radio and well thats expensive if not then aftermarket radio.. and you need modules to keep your steering wheel controls you need modules for xm radio etc could be upwards of 1500 to 2000 dollars

Is this for phone charging ??
Because otherwise use Bluetooth - or run the cable to the back USB ports.
These Kicks just have so many little quirks!
