how to do the trans service.. first get the right fliud ns3 from the dealer yes its expensive i paid over 200 for a filter and fluid.. pan gasket, also get a can of
https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/PTX7651221?impressionRank=1 and put it on one side of the gasket trust me it helps hold it dont put it on the other side facing the transmission just the side to the pan.. then drive the car or get the fluid up to operating temps.. use the drain plug empty till id drips youll find hardly any comes out theres a dip tube inside the plug you pulled out you need a 5mm allen stick it up inside the hole and unscrew it the rest of the fluid will come out . make sure to get the refill clip off first before you drain the pan just incase you cant
to get the dipstick off use a screw driver a small one the kind mechanics use psst i used to be a nissan tech..just so you have some confidence in me. take the screw driver and put it in the hole on the top of the plastic cap youll see a clip it goes inwards towards the cap its metal so dont worry, and it should come off dont loose it get a funnel.. make sure to get the clip off before you drain the pan, i repeat that because you never know it may not come off them you have no way to get .5 to 1 quart back in since thats how much drains out from the bolt you remove on the trans pan. anyway its simple theres a tool we use a j hook you dont need it just a small screw driver the clip is small use a light to see it now with the pan drained theres still some in it so 10mm socket take the pan off the gasket off as well clean it up clean the 3 magnets replace the screen mesh make sure maaaaaaaaaaaakkke sure the old oring comes out it could be left inside the hole or fall into the oil before proceeding find it mine fell into the pan thank god i was like noooo they didnt forget it in a brand new car.. anyway once clean reinstall everything including the dip tube..
youll find 4 quarts to be enough no matter what people tell you 4 comes out hot 4 goes in even though it expands and they tell you the technical service manual to open the drian plug again dont bother its fine basically it lets it drain over flow youll be fine with 4 in and 4 out..
and your done.. now youll need to clear the in service meter on the ecu this is what the manual says that we have access to you dont dont worry it takes a specialized scan tool laptop we used to clear this meter thing that says you have this life left never had a problem with not clearing it and warranty mines under warranty im certified and i did it myself at home so dont worry as long as you buy the dealer brand stuff from the dealer and do it right like i said how to do your allowed to diy stuff certain stuff and not void the warranty a shop will charge 300-600 dollars for the same service parts wont be cheap but dont skimp..
also do the trans service way before 30k the manual says 60k no no no i did mine at 26k even at 15k and every 20 k after why trust me that fluid is black when it comes out cvt transmissions wear faster and shave off small bits the belt you want to do it way ahead of time..to avoid failures a new trans is about 4 grand and they dont make parts for them they are replace only not like standard trans where you can replace them..
