Aftermarket is always better than the "premium" audio the factory offers...and usually less expensive. I have alot of experience with car audio and i feel that it you just upgraded the front door speakers and tweeter with a decent component set and used a 4 channel amp to power it and a single 10" subwoofer, you would be very happy. There is enough room under either of the front seats to put the amp, and there are several space saving and slim subwoofer boxes that come preloaded with the sub in them. Rockford fosgate makes some good budget oriented ones or JL audio for a little bit higher quality.I Also wanted to install the Rockford Fosgate sub with the bose system.... guess will have to go the Crutchfield aftermarket route.... maybe two underseat compact powered subs will do the trick..
Can you please post whole pdf on how to install the RF subwoofer systemI was just looking over the instructions for installing the Rockford fosgate kit and It cant be installed with the Bose system.

Good source of accessories installation.
I am not a sales man so may have it wrong but I can read an install manual.???????
I agree with you on this. I bought a kicks with the Bose audio and my husband just installed a Rockford fosgate P300-10 sub/amp kit. The kit itself was $266 and no labor costs so I’d say it’s definitely worth it to do it after market. The sound is incredible and I honestly believe the Nissan upgrade wouldn’t have sounded this amazing.Aftermarket is always better than the "premium" audio the factory offers...and usually less expensive. My husband just installed a P300-10 Rockford fosgate amp/sub kit and had very little fab work. He did have to pull kick panels to route the wires to the back for the sub but other than that, very little fab. It’s was $266 USD off of amazon so I would say if you’re handy with car audio, it’s definitely worth it! It adds so much more bass than my Bose audio standalone. It’s a little bulky but isn’t really an eyesore as I don’t use my hatchback very often.I have a Kicks S and I also want to add the Rockford fosgate subwoofer system. I called Rockford fosgate in the USA and Tech support says it's two 6.5 woofers in a sealed box and includes active amp for the door speakers and the subwoofer and has DSP to tune the sound. I fine price cheaper in USA. $600 usd vs. $1499 cnd. The question can a car stereo installer put this in or do we need Nissan tech. They said they require 2 hrs labour.
Also is the Kicks prewired for this or do we need to start cutting and splicing. I talked to the my service dept but they have never done one. Can someone please tell me a name of a dealer in the Vancouver, B.C. area who has done one as I read one member here has done it! Thanks!
can we get a more complete pic of the install manual please?Screen shot from the manual.
How did you install the sub with the bose system? Did you splice into the speaker or the amp? I'm thinking of adding a sub to my KicksI agree with you on this. I know this is an older thread, but in hopes this may help someone, here's what I've done to install the Rockford Fosagte P300-10.How did you install the sub with the Bose system? Did you splice into the speaker or the amp? I'm thinking of adding a sub to my Kicks
I have this, AudioControl LC6i (Gray) + Rockford Fosgate R2-500X4 + Rockford Fosgate PS-8 + Focal RSE-165 + Focal RCX-165 ... And I couldn't be happier, all components are out off view only I know they are there and if someone asks, I tell them that I sourced the speakers from a totalled SR or SV ... I will replace the LC6i with a AudioControl LCQ-1 (Black) to better tailor the sound to my personal taste.I am buying a Kicks this week. Does anyone have the Rockford Fosgate package? Is it a woofer or just additional speakers? I am getting the SR Premium, is it worth it to have both the bose personal audio AND the Rockford fosgate?
