Welcome to the forum! As far as I know that is not possible. You can check Tirerack.com or call Costco. Maybe 16.5 to 17 rims but I wouldn't do that for safety reasons. What are you trying to accomplish?

it's not possible tout 16 inches tire on 17 inches ( on rims or mags)
if you have 17 inches tire you need rims or mag 17 inches

Whatever that guy who told you that was smoking, stay away from it!

16 inch wheels use 16 inch tyres
17 inch wheels use 17 inch tyres
18 inch wheels use 18 inch tyres
...

Magali, nope,no can do! must use the exact same size tires as the rims.
