Generally, you shouldn't have gaps in any seals. I'd at least give the dealership a call and see what they suggest.
And/or have the dealer show you any other car on the lot that has the issue. If it's "normal" than it would be present in other models too. Except that it's not so it won't be. Hope you got this fixed should not be like that!I was checking the trunk of my newly bought Nissan Kicks 2021 SV and noticed that there is a gap between the rubber seal and the lip of the trunk. Is this normal or something I have to bring to the dealership? Based on the picture below, you can see the clip like structure under the trunk which I think should not be visible.
