Is this normal?

I was checking the trunk of my newly bought Nissan Kicks 2021 SV and noticed that there is a gap between the rubber seal and the lip of the trunk. Is this normal or something I have to bring to the dealership? Based on the picture below, you can see the clip like structure under the trunk which I think should not be visible.

Generally, you shouldn't have gaps in any seals. I'd at least give the dealership a call and see what they suggest.
I did went to the dealership and the service manager himself said that it's normal. I don't know if it is as there are no available Nissan Kicks to compare to at the lot.

I just checked mine and there's no gap that you can see into like yours. I felt all around the seal and there's a strong connection.

Thanks for the info. I'll check with the dealer again with your picture as a solid proof.

And/or have the dealer show you any other car on the lot that has the issue. If it's "normal" than it would be present in other models too. Except that it's not so it won't be. Or have him explain why it's normal for a seal not to seal. Forming a seal is literally it's purpose.

Just curious, did you ever resolve it? How did it go?

**** no. Hope you got this fixed should not be like that!
I just found this thread. My 2022 kicks just developed a similar gap. I've got an appointment this weekend at the dealer for the 1st scheduled service and will probably ask them if its normal. My gap isn't that bad as I was able to partially close it myself.
