Headunit reboots during Bluetooth payback from an iphone (Kicks 2018)

Call another dealer see what they say. You can also call the Nissan Corporate Office. Are you in Toronto? It should be free

I live in St. Johns, Newfoundland, small town on an island, only one Nissan Dealer here, oneilnissan.com.

I also called Nissan's 800-Customer Care Line. Basically, both dealer and hotline said the same: the car is out of warranty now, so $150+tax for a headunit firmware update.

P.S. As a matter of fact, agent on Customer Care line was not happy that I found service bulletin for that specific problem, said that this information is only for Nissan's Service internal use.

That's not the way to treat a Customer as you might not buy another Nissan again. I'm in Toronto. I'll ask around maybe there's a workaround for updating the Firmware

Try also rebooting the Headunit. Check the owner's manual for this

Rebooting does not help, apparently it is a firmware glitch.
I did not catch this earlier, I was always on Android, switched to iPhone only recently.
Very frustrated how Nissan decided to handle this :-(

Agreed. They should be making this update for no charge! This is how you loose customer's trust and confidence

I found a service bulletin for that specific problem NTB20-016a, I am in Canada, went to a dealer to update the firmware, they want 150 CAD for the system update!

Amazing! Aren't firmware updates to fix a problem supposed be free?
