For months I’ve had this issue where when I am braking and hit a sudden dip or bump in the road, especially when it rocks the car (like while turning). I’ve reported it to the dealership and they said they couldn’t recreate it and neither could I when I took them out (of course 🙄).
He said it sounds like the antilock brakes are kicking in, but the grinding sound comes from where the engine and transmission meet. I can feel it in the brake and as soon as I let off, it stops. Anyone else have this experience? It doesn’t happen often, but enough to be of concern.

I’m having the same issue. I’ve taken in my car 3 times since May 2019 when I bought it for this issue. They can’t find anything wrong with it because they can’t replicate it. Very frustrating!

I've just experienced something similar in brand new 2020 kicks while making a left turn. Dealer said could be brake assist sensor.

Yes! Usually a dip or uphill turn. Sounds really bad!

I’ve been having the same problem since I got the car didn’t notice it till a couple days in and I took a sharp turn into a driveway a little fast holding on the brakes and it sounded like grinding and I could feel a grinding vibration in the brake pedal so I let it out and it stopped. let me know if anyone else has had this problem and gotten it diagnosed I don’t want to just start replacing things to see if it helps but I think that might be the best way to go seeing as though everyone else on here is either undiagnosed or being told something they think it isn’t

Same problem here. Kicks was fine for 36,000 km then this problem began with the brakes pulsating in a curve on roads that had dips. The mechanic found a loose part on the front suspension so he repaired that and that helped a lot but I still have the problem about once a week or so. Anyone have an update on this?

get going a decent speed with no traffic and push the brakes hard and kick in the antilock and see if it's the same noise. It won't hurt a thing and you will know for sure.

everyone should know what the antilock sounds and feels like, before you need it and are startled by it.
