Hi, I have had my 2019 Kicks for coming up on two years now. I can't figure out how to turn this off or what the exact problem is. Is there something specific I need to do, or should I call a mechanic about it?
TIA

My wife drives a 2022 Kicks SR, same problem. I think the same problem affects all Nissan vehicles. The first time it happened is when we drove up Mt. Washington. When we reached the summit we had the same error message. I wasn't sure if it was from the cold temperature (it was -10F degrees up there) or if it was the sensors failing at an elevation of 6,400ft. We drove down the mountain in low gear.. warning light still on. To turn off the sensors you can use the EVIC menu button on the left side of the steering wheel. At the end of the day we drove back to our hotel room, the following morning when we left for our road trip the problem was gone, as if it didn't happen.

The second time it happened it was at home. It's just starting to cool down, overnight we had our first hard frost. When we headed out to get breakfast, the Warning popped up on the dash. In a few seconds it cleared. I think the problem is due to the ultrasonic sensors failing due to icing or connectors failing due to the cold. So far the problem only occurred twice.

I second that, I have encountered same problem when weather changes cold to hot or vice versa. Also humid to dry. All my electronics problems seem weather (humidity, heat/cold) related: Usually turning off the engine for some time fixes it to normal.

Agree.
I have a 2023 SR.
240 miles thus far. No issues at all. However, coming home one night late, lite condensate from humidity and pretty cold in the South. The frontal collision came on. I got to a spot I could pull over safely and scrolled though the info system to the Vehicle settings. It turned off while I sat there. The distinct difference is it turned the system off. If the info reads "there is a system malfunction", that may require a scan tool. If it's just the light, most likely mist, condensate, frost, etc has upset the system.

The touch screen is also very sensitive to humidity. Wiping it with a damp cloth could cause it to malfunction. I am surprised by the low tolerance of the electronics to humidity but again, if I turn off everything & leave the car for 5 minutes it usually goes away.

Agree 100%. For me the Frontal collision getting fogged over just pee's me off. But hey, other than that I'm loving the Kicks! Fuel milage is awesome! Features for the price are a good deal to me. Think I'm going to hit up Amazon and get a screen protector for the Touch screen. That may help with the condensate. I've had it happen once. But I had the doors open installing a Woofer.
