Brake fluid

2021 kicks owned 7 months mileage is 13,000 certified car. Went in for 1st oil change inspection etc. They checked the box on brake fluid in red stating requires immediate attention. 1. Never mentioned it to me in the 3 hrs I was there. 2. If I only owned my car for 7 months wouldn't that be part of them certifying my car ? 3. Why after me putting only 6k miles on the car would this need done ? Any advise. Thanks
