I am wiring up an underseat subwoofer in my 2022 Kicks. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best route for me to get the power wire to the battery? Thanks.

Best way is through the firewall grommet near the drivers kick

I will be installing a jbl bassprohub spare tire subwoofer and I will try to document some pictures of the firewall grommet in this location while I work on the project.

Thanks for the headstart on a location @happy_dalek !
I want to mention that don't forget not to connect any power cable directly to the battery, be sure that you connect it after battery health sensor. You can find this information in your owner's manual or download it online.

run power wires down drivers side kick panel then run audio wires speaker etc rca down right side always seperate emf problams can occure. use fuse after battery 13 inches max after battery ground amp to stud bolt if you can in trunk etc aka frame dont drill if you dont have too use quality copper cable not crappy copper clad welding cable is pure copper.. some lie and coat it in copper on amazon.. adjust your gain of your amp to match your radio youtube that and you should be good the stock alternator only does 90 amps i would not do more than 2 10 inchs subs 1 preferably and 100 watts to 200 watts also use a capacitor 2 farad if you can and make sure to put a manual shut off on the amp seeing how these kicks have a automatic turn off of all devices to save power yours will not or might not shut off when the radio turns off ie the blue wire from the radio or might have to do a manual turn on method like wiring to the ignition i woulndt id manually hav a switch for your amp just dont forget its on

How are you going or did get the signal to the sub?
  • Did you use a LOC w/X-Over?
  • Did or will you sacrifice the rear speakers?
  • For installation/power, you need to use something like this, Crutchfield CK8
  • As far as intallating a cap, they are quite large in size, but, do work, here is one, T-Spec Capacitor
If you want to keep your factory headunit but, improve the stereo, you will need a few more parts, do not replace speakers without doing this first, OEM headunit/speakers are 2 Ohms and aftermarket speakers are 4 Ohm.
