2019 Nissan Leaf To Get 300 Miles

Electric cars are going to be big in the future and Nissan is working on being more competitive. The Leaf looks to be around the same size as the Kicks so a similar range may be possible if Nissan releases a Kicks EV. I'd be interested in one, and it looks a lot better than the second-generation Leaf.

I doubt Nissan will produce a hybrid kicks when it's so similar to the Leaf in size and shape. Ok, the Kicks is more crossover than the Leaf which looks like a hatchback, but Nissan wouldn't want to take sales away from the Leaf.

Kleber Silva is an artist who rendered what a Kicks based Leaf could look like and I'm a fan if the production model looks similar.

Not so much the paint combination, but the power-train does appeal to me. Not only will a hybrid model be more fuel efficient, but low end torque would benefit from a motor as well.

The next Altima is said to go hybrid and if it does, then guess what might be next after that?... You guessed it... the Kicks. Not only just that small fact but also that the Altima is a smaller sedan, making parts sharing that much easier here.

It's only a matter of time until all their SUVs and crossovers are offered with a hybrid powertrain, that seems like the better option to appeal to the fuel rating conscious buyer. Not just the Altima and Kicks, but every other model as well.

Nissan's cars are aerodynamic to begin with and that's important with electric and hybrid cars. Just need to add a battery pack and motor. I'd be interested in a hybrid Kicks, but not in that specific shade. The enclosed grille doesn't look too bad either.

That should be the worst case scenario or might be what we see with budget cars but then again with how hard they're pushing EV's, in that there has to be a setup for compact city cars that just about anyone can afford, something within the $17-20K USD Range.

Don't really consider going hybrid a worst case scenario, pretty positive change for fuel efficient minded drivers and it'll offer them more options to choose from than the limited amount of affordable, hybrids already out there.

i mean that at the least green we will have just hybrids but the future is EV and that's where it should go. right now we're still in that hybrid phase so its easy to see how long it can play out till car makers need to go hard with EV's.
